Authentic Viking Experiences

Lakes Vikings Living History is a group of Viking age enthusiasts with 25 years experience sailing Viking long boats and organising fun festivals and events. Our long boats are 12M long fully functional replicas from Viking times and have featured in several TV series and documentaries. 

Boyne Valley Events Ltd organise Viking age & Celtic themed festivals & events throughout Ireland & participate in other groups events across the British Isles and Europe. Lakes Vikings work with them to provide longships and their skilled crews.

The typical tented villages we provide can include a huge variety of crafts people and experiences for all age groups to enjoy. Blacksmiths, wood workers, jewellery makers, nalbinding, tablet weaving, medieval food, Rune readings, folk games, story tellers, falconry displays, music and ancient instruments and of course the warriors re-enacting famous Viking battles. We have a fleet of fully functional replica long ships, 40 foot and 20 foot long, with sailors to match.
